Camp

Bring your gear and camp under the big sky.

We believe that it takes 2 nights to really leave the city behind, so no single night camping passes are available for this event. When you purchase a 2 or 3 night camping pass, attendance to the concerts for those nights is included. All tickets are sold per person, not per tent, and each concertgoer and camper must purchase a ticket.

NEW THIS YEAR! Rent one of our standard or deluxe Scout tents for the weekend and save yourself the hassle of puzzling tent pole architecture. We set up a wall tent - so tall you can stand up inside! - you show up with your bedding and necessities and move right in. Cost for the weekend is $100 for a standard 8x10 tent (sleeps 2) in addition to purchase of music + camping pass for each camper in the tent, or $125 for a deluxe 10x14 (sleeps 4) in addition to purchase of music + camping pass for each camper in the tent. These accommodations are limited – please email us to make a reservation.

If you want to bring a trailer or RV, please tell us about your machine so we can reserve a space for you in our RV village. We have limited space and do not offer hookups onsite, but we're happy to try to host you in your portable home.

Do Stuff

Activities abound at this year's party.

Sandlot Baseball Poster

Make something, root for your team, buy a souvenir for a friend. Here are a few highlights:

Austin's Texas Playboys vs. Marfa's Los Yonke Gallos. An epic sandlot baseball rivalry continues with hot dogs, beer and a controversial sexy dancing squirrel. It's going to be so good again.

Our friends from Filth Mart will be among the great vendors selling their wares throughout the weekend. Leave room in your car for all the stuff you're going to want to take home!

Learn a new skill: GirlsGuild will be among the skilled folks offering an array of workshops to enhance your art and craft mastery. Think of it as summer camp for adults.

Heyoka Leather Make your own souvenir in the Medicine Bag Leatherworking Class by Heyoka Leather. The amazingly talented ladies of Heyoka Leather will teach you how to fashion your own Native American medicine bag/spirit satchel. Pre-register for the class here.

El Cosmetico is back by popular demand. Just because you are camping doesn't mean you don't need a massage. We'll be taking reservations onsite at the start of the festival, so please enquire when you arrive.

Enter the El Cosmico Festival photo and video essay competition. Submit your celluloid/Polaroid/digital memories for chances to win future stays at El Cosmico and beyond. Rules and info here.

Eat, Drink, and So Forth

Food Shark will be in the field on Friday night selling the Marfalafels and other delicious items that made them famous. The honorable Adam Bork presiding, of course.

The fine gentlemen of Frank will be serving a community meal on Saturday with meat and vegan options.

We're also bringing back the KRTS Charity Brunch with pancakes and sausages and a Tito's Bloody Mary Bar. This may be the most enjoyable way to support public radio ever. Live musical accompaniment by the inimitable David Pulkingham and friends. No need to pre-register. $10 cash donation at the breakfast.

And of course, we'll have plenty of cold Shiner and Topo Chico waiting for you.
