Trans-Pecos Festival 2015
Fellow cosmonauts, prepare for the 10th Annual Trans-Pecos Festival of Music + Love at El Cosmico.
September 24-27, 2015
A group of intrepid wanderers convene at El Cosmico for a weekend of live music, sandlot baseball, workshops, art installations and more in the majesty of Marfa, Texas. We invite you to join us. Festivalgoers can expect the same alchemystical blend of music, art, baseball, friends and more under the big sky. To get excited, check out some great images of last year's festival by photographer Alysse Gafkjen here.

Be sure to grab your Barbacoa Cosmicoa Saturday night dinner tickets - a limited number are available. We don't know what we're serving yet but there will be a meat and a vegetarian option and we'll enjoy a beautfiul community meal together in the field.
Activities will abound at this year’s party. Make something, root for your team, buy a souvenir for a friend.
Here are a few highlights – more to come as party time nears:
WORKSHOPS: Learn a new talent at one of the many workshops available during the festival. See the list and sign up here - check back often as new workshops are being added.
EL BEISBOL SANDLOT: Austin’s Texas Playboys vs. Marfa’s Los Yonke Gallos. An epic sandlot baseball rivalry continues. Saturday at noon. Hot dogs. Beer. Squirrel Friends. Can only be experienced - definitely a party highlight regardless of your stance on sports.
EL COSMETICO: Back by popular demand. Just because you are camping doesn’t mean you don’t need a massage. Check back soon for advance online booking of your transformative treatments.
AND MORE: Shop our vendor area, hang out and listen to an afternoon DJ, or just spend some time in our hammock grove. We've got a solid mix of activities and opportunities to do absolutely nothing.
LUNARIA TAROT: Olivia Pepper is a wandering mystic who has been reading Tarot cards since she was a child. She has been the resident card reader at Hotel San Jose for three years and is looking forward to offering her unique divinatory services to those attending Trans-Pecos Festival.
Join us for Barbacoa Cosmicoa, a pig roast and community dinner on Saturday night starting at 6 pm with live music by Rockin' Dopsie Jr. and The Zydeco Twisters. Chef Lou Lambert will roast several pigs onsite and we'll enjoy the feast with all the fixins and a host of sides - a vegetarian option with tamale pie is also available.
Food vendors will be onsite on Thursday and Friday nights, and some breakfast options will be available each day. We will also have an area set up with a few communal grills if you'd prefer to bring your own foodstuffs. You supply the charcoal.
We’re also bringing back the Marfa Public Radio charity brunch on Sunday. This may be the most enjoyable way to support a good cause. Feed your hangover with some pancakes, sausages, live music and good friends before heading home. Pay cash at the breakfast and support KRTS.
No outside alcohol is allowed at El Cosmico. We will have plenty of beer, wine and other beverages for sale throughout the event. And of course we'll have plenty of free Topo Chico to quench your high plains desert thirst.
El Cosmico Provision Co. Yeti & Shiner
We've partnered with YETI, the makers of the best cooler on earth, to create a custom El Cosmico YETI cooler. Available in two sizes: the Tundra 45, with a 26 can capacity and easy portability, and the Tundra 65, the ice chest designed for good times with room to hold 39 cans.
Have a cooler full of ice cold Shiner beer waiting for you when you check-in at the Trans-Pecos Festival - enjoy your portable party-in-a-box throughout the weekend, and then take home an awesome souvenir.
