The seventeenth Trans-Pecos Festival of Music + Love, El Cosmico’s authentic music experience held in Marfa, Texas, will take place September 28 – October 1 with headliners Spoon, Neal Francis, and The Heavy Heavy. Meshell Ndegeocello, Ben Kweller, The Suffers, Mexican Institute of Sound, Jess Williamson, Kara Jackson, Heartless Bastards, Robert Ellis, Ross Cashiola, Hella Aqui and the El Cosmico Family Band round out the lineup.
This year’s festival will be the last at the original El Cosmico location. The next Trans-Pecos Festival will take place at the reimagined and expanded El Cosmico, featuring 3D printed structures developed in collaboration with ICON, the leader of advanced construction technologies pioneering large-scale 3D printing and BIG – Bjarke Ingels Group, world renowned architecture firm. The community will also include a collection of BIG designed and 3D printed residences called Sunday Homes. Learn more about Sunday Homes at El Cosmico here.
The festival goes beyond music, offering festival-goers the chance to camp in one of the most magical venues in the West Texas desert, while cultivating artistic engagement with a variety of unique activities, day parties, workshops, a vendor marketplace, pop-up desert spa (El Cosmetico) and barber shop (El Cosmicuts), food trucks, tattoos, and more.
