We're a Mix of Emotions

Every adventure begins with charting a course, and today we’d like to share our roadmap for the next phase of El Cosmico.

Some of you have asked to have a chance for one last stay at OG property, and we’re here for it. To that end, we’re letting you know that the current El Cosmico is now closed. 

We’ve got all kinds of feelings about it – some sadness about the end of an era, wistful nostalgia about all the magical times we’ve had on this land, and a big dose of excitement about what awaits at the new El Cosmico that is scheduled to open in 2027 on a stunning 60-acre patch of land on the edge of Marfa – a stone’s throw from our current home. We can’t wait to share what we’re building with you. 

The Brite Building – El Cosmico’s stately sister apartment in the heart of downtown Marfa – remains available for booking. 

El Cosmico Provision Co., our beloved lobby shop, is also closed for now. The store will continue to be available 24/7 in the worldwide ether at farwestcollective.com. 

As for the opening of the new El Cosmico, we will keep you all up to speed via email about the opening dates and related festivities (we love a reason to party, as you know). If you aren’t already subscribed to our mailing list, you can do that here. 

Thank you from the depths of our collective heart for being a part of this little experiment in freedom and fun we’ve been conducting out here under the big sky.
