The Music Around Us (Kids)

Wednesday September 22 from 4 – 6 PM

Thursday, September 23 from 4 – 6 PM

Friday, September 24 from 4 – 6 PM

Saturday, September at 5 PM (grand finale on the small stage)

“The Music Around Us” is a 4-part music class that will unleash and tap into the natural rhythms that we all are using in our daily lives, whether we know it yet or not. We are all drummers at heart.

We will encourage the kids to dive in and swim in a sea of songs. We will play the drums, clap our hands, and learn to sing backing vocals to songs from around the world and throughout time. Instruments will be provided and no musical experience is necessary.

We will meet every evening of the festival underneath the El Cosmico carport. The series will conclude on Saturday evening, when the students will perform what they’ve learned on the small stage, with special guests including David Garza and THEBROSFRESH.

For ages 5 and up.
