Tie Dying with Jungmaven

Come tie-dye hemp t-shirts using plant-based dyes with Jungmaven natural dye experts. Learn about and experiment with various natural dyes to take home your own custom-dyed Jungmaven tees (two for each participant included in the workshop fee). Conversations about life, hemp, natural dyes and more. Natural Skincare with Pink Tiger

Friday, September 27 from 11 am – 12 pm

In this workshop, guests will dive into the benefits of incorporating natural terpenes into your daily skincare routine. This workshop will include a Q & A session to cover all things terpenes & skincare, a step by step DIY facial, a travel pouch with full-size Pink Tiger products (Sunrise Serum, Sunset Serum, Toner, and Sheet Mask – worth over $175), a jade roller, and travel mirror. We will also indulge in beverages infused with Strain Specific Terpenes.


Wine Tasting with Scribe Winery

Scribe Winery in Sonoma, Calif. produces vibrant, terroir-driven wines.
The winery–founded in 2007 on a property that pioneered pre-prohibition Sonoma Valley winemaking–is managed by fourth-generation California farmers and brothers, Andrew and Adam Mariani.

Andrew and Adam believe that the best wines are a result of a healthy relationship between man and nature and that a vineyard managed in harmony with the greater ecosystem results in more site-specific wines that represent a sense of time and place. When vinified with non-interventionist methods, the result is a distinct wine that faithfully reflects what the vineyard naturally.

Manready Mercantile Candle Making

Manready Mercantile is heading out to Marfa to lead a West Texas-style candle making workshop! Join us, learn candle making 101, and customize your own blend with all-natural ingredients – clean-burning soy wax and your own blend of essential oils. Take it back t light your tent, teepee, trailer, yurt, or wherever you’re laying your head down for a weekend full of the kind of fun you’ll only find at El Cosmico!

DIY Bar: Crafting Shrubs & Oxymels

Sip your way through a sampling of zingy and bright vinegar-based beverages. Participants will learn about the history, health benefits and flavor profiles of shrubs and oxymels and will make and take personalized syrups to use in boozy cocktails, spritzers or to sip over sparkling water as a refreshing way to beat the heat. Join us to brush up your bar game with some old-fashioned herbal kitchen witchery.


Hemp and Coffee Talk with Flora + Fortitude

Saturday, September 28 from 10 am – 11 am

An educational and enlightening open conversation about Terpenes and Hemp. From prohibition to the current state of the hemp industry and its vast number of uses. During this time each participant will enjoy a bottle of Hemp infused Jo’s Coffee. One hemp pre-roll and an infused caramel from Flora and Fortitude will also be provided. Attendees will also the first to try Flora and Fortitude’s newest skincare line, Maria (in the alley). aAhigh end, fashion-focused hemp-infused beauty, and skincare line. Samplings of their initial launch items will be available including the high terpene, perfumed oil roll on’s as well as the all-natural facial and skin serum.



Build Your Own Smudge Bundle

Saturday, September 28 from 11 am – 12 pm

Smudging is simply the ancient act of burning herbs, flowers, and palo santo, to clear the energy of a space or material. In this hands-on workshop, we will explore the healing properties of different flowers and herbs, before creating a “recipe” for your unique Smudge Bundle. After building your Bundle from scratch, you’ll create a sacred mantra and step-by-step ritual to use while burning and clearing the energy in your own space. Each student will leave with one handmade Bundle, one customized mantra, and one porcelain Karacotta Smudge Dish rest your bundle in at home.


Water Marbling with Mercedez Rex

Saturday, September 28 from 11 am – 1 pm

Join us for an evening of exploring water marbling with textile artist Mercedez Rex. We will cover a brief history of marbling as well as classic historical patterns before diving in to experiment with basic techniques of manipulating paints on the surface of a water bath. Participants will have time to play with colors and patterns before transferring their designs onto two silk textiles.

Mercedez Rex is an artist and creativity advocate. She believes that everyone has creative potential and that cultivating creativity is a worthwhile pursuit. Her goal in teaching workshops is to encourage others to tap into their own creativity. She does this first and foremost, by offering guidance and instruction on a craft she is passionate about but more importantly, by fostering an environment that values playful experimentation and process over comparison, perfectionism, and fear of failure.


DIY Healing Crystal Jewelry

Saturday, September 28 from 4-6 pm

Enjoy a fun afternoon with friends learning how to design your own crystal earrings and necklace. In this class, you will design your own 16″ 14k gold filled necklace and chandelier style earrings using an assortment of beads and crystals!

You will also learn about the different healing properties of each crystal so that you can create a meaningful piece of jewelry. At the end of class, you will have a truly unique piece of jewelry to help you remember your time at the Trans-Pecos Festival.
